Quevedo, the Spanish writer and opponent of commerce enthusiasts: satire on money.
Civil law or commercial law?
State laws or market laws?
If you want to make money, talk about emotions, not knowledge. Knowledge has no exchange value in the 21st century, nor communication value: it doesn't serve to communicate.
What holds value in communications and human interactions are emotions, not knowledge. If you want to fill an auditorium, you must be a sophist or a charlatan, not a scientist or a professor: you must speak about emotions, not knowledge.
To give a good image to your impostures, you must cloak them in culture (a modern form of being religious, but without declaring it: the term atheism is already incomprehensible to the majority), or better yet, talk about politics and geopolitics, and, above all, self-help, which is the simplest way to attract people, so in need today of storytellers.
Ideologies also work, but not for everyone, because each person organizes and projects their own ignorance into collectively diverse and often conflicting ideological forms. But the sure values to emotionally seduce and deceive others are always those invested in politics and self-help. They never fail. Love and knowledge no longer seduce anyone. Forget about them. You don't need them.
Impostors manage the lie. You can't compete with them. Why do you want to fight a prejudice? Exploit it economically in your favor. Knowledge will not set you free in the 21st century: knowledge will make you poor. And it will leave you isolated and cut off.
Today, freedom is no longer bought or acquired with knowledge – such a thing is a mirage, an illusion, an idealism – but with money, and money is obtained from deception rather than work. Knowledge will allow you to understand reality, but in return, you will be a social misfit. In a society of ignorants and barbarians, emotions serve to communicate, and knowledge serves to isolate.
Human life is a collective self-deception. Do you want to know who deceives you and how you let yourself be deceived? Look at how you spend your money and what you waste your time on.
